Operatives of the Lagos State task force during a midnight raid in some parts of the state arrested no fewer than 77 suspected criminals, including commercial sex workers. Egbeyemi further disclosed that the raid was carried out on the directives of both the government and Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Zubairu Muazu. Also, the Lagos State government has taken over the ‘Aluminum Village’ at Dopemu area of Agege over alleged breach of security. Egbeyemi hinted that the enforcement team demolished all illegal shanties where criminal elements (Awawa cult gang) hibernate to perpetrate their nefarious activities on innocent members of the public. He said: “A lot of criminal activities like rape, robbery and harbouring of criminals takes place at ‘Alluminium Village’ on daily basis.
